What information is Necessary for an Approximate Quote over the Phone?
- How many pieces of furniture are you looking to reupholster?
- Describe the type of furniture (sofa, dining room chairs, love seat, indoor or outdoor furniture).
- Approximately how old is the furniture.
- How many seat and back cushions are there?
- Be able to describe the style (Traditional, Contemporary, Antique, etc.)
- Describe the general condition of the piece:
- “It may need new padding or cushions?”
- “I’d like to replace the fabric.”
- “I love the sofa but the frame is loose and the springs are shot.”
- Is there any wood on the furniture? Will it need refinishing?
- Approximate size of the piece(s).
- How is the piece used? (use it everyday, only when company visits, or we never use it because it’s an antique etc.)
- How long do you expect the restoration to take? Our average turnaround time depends on the season, and is usually no longer than four weeks from the time we receive the piece(s) to completion. In some cases, smaller jobs are completed more quickly.
